Designated a Level IV Trauma Center, BRMC’s Emergency Department provides care for patients suffering from a variety of injuries and illnesses. Nearly 6,000 citizens come each year to BRMC’s Emergency Room, which is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by a Board Certified physician with certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. BRMC’s Emergency Department also has a heli-pad available for air transport of critical patients.
To best meet patients’ needs, BRMC asks that visits to our Emergency Department be of an urgent nature or as directed by your doctor. Otherwise, please schedule an appointment with your doctor. If you do not have a doctor, please visit the clinic tab up top for a list of Brownfield Physicians.
BRMC operates on a triage system. A triage system consists of an RN that will assess your condition. The decision will then be made as to what order you will be seen relying on the severity of your condition or ailment and other patients with a more critical condition.
BRMC’s emergency room is located at 705 East Felt Street in the rear entrance.
