What is the Patient Portal?

The BRMC Patient Portal is an online health management tool that hospitals are required to provide to all patients in order for the hospital to be in compliance with the federal government’s Meaningful Use Initiative. The Patient Portal allows the patient to have electronic access through the patient’s own secure email giving the patient the ability to review their medical history. This also gives the patient the ability to download their own confidential medical record to the patient’s own personal computer or to electronically share medical history with another medical professional.

How do I set up a free account?

A nurse will help you through the set up process immediately following discharge from our facility.

Who should I contact if I am having trouble logging in or accessing the BRMC Patient Portal?

For trouble logging in or accessing BRMC’s Patient Portal contact a BRMC Patient Portal Representative at 806-637-3551. Monday -Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm CST.

Will I receive an email after each admission into the hospital?

No. After each admission to the hospital a new summary of care document will automatically post to your patient portal. You may access the document any time after you are discharged. Once the initial email has been sent the patient or authorized representative will not receive new emails with each new visit.

Can family or friends access the information found on my Portal?

Only if they have received permission from you or if they have Medical Power of Attorney.
